Trump Media posts $405 million loss driven by crypto holdings The Trump family media group posted a net drop of $405.9 million in the first quarter, largely driven by unrealized losses in cryptocurrencies held by the company.  Trump Media & Technology Group Corp., which is the parent company of Truth Social, released its first-quarter 2026 results on Friday reporting a positive operating cash flow of $17.9 million and $2.1 billion in financial assets, which is triple the assets from the same period a year ago. However, the company’s investment in cryptocurrencies at the peak of the market last summer drove hundreds of millions in losses this quarter. Close to $370 million of the company’s losses came from unrealized liabilities in digital assets and equities.  Trump Media currently has over 9,500 Bitcoin in its treasury and purchased the digital assets last July at an average cost of $108,519, per CoinGecko. The company sold 2,000 Bitcoin in late February, when the price of the digital currency was just under $70,000. Currently, Bitcoin is valued at a little over $80,000, after a dramatic swing over the last year with the digital currency peaking at $126,000 in October before dropping dramatically to $60,000 in early February. SUI and PAGA [SUI and PAGA partnership](https://news.bitcoin.com/it/la-fintech-nigeriana-paga-si-espande-nel-settore-delle-obbligazioni-tokenizzate-e-nel-settore-immobiliare-grazie-alla-partnership-con-sui/) does someone know if this could have an impact in the sui value and view as an ecosystem? I am new to crypto and still trying to learn, so i want to hear someone oppinion. Paga, a Nigerian fintech pioneer, has partnered with the Sui blockchain, marking the company's most significant push into cryptocurrency infrastructure to date. The partnership was unveiled on May 7 at Sui Live in Miami, just weeks after founder Tayo Oviosu transitioned to the role of Group CEO in April. [The agreement reportedly](https://techcabal.com/2026/05/08/paga-taps-sui-for-crypto-payments/) positions Paga to expand beyond traditional mobile money and payments into [stablecoin products](https://news.bitcoin.com/it/oltre-il-dollaro-come-le-stablecoin-locali-e-la-tokenizzazione-stanno-reinventando-la-liquidita-globale/) , tokenized assets, and blockchain-based cross-border transfers. Oviosu said the partnership aims to build financial rails that help Africans hedge against currency volatility, access global markets, and participate in new forms of digital finance. “These are the walls of the cage, and until we break them down, financial freedom on this continent will be incomplete,” Oviosu told attendees. “We have found that partner: Paga and Sui.” According to both companies, the integration will focus on high-yield USD accounts backed by USDsui, Sui's recently launched dollar stablecoin. It will also focus on on-ramps and off-ramps for cryptocurrencies in the markets where Paga operates, as well as real-world tokenized assets, including real estate, bonds, and solar projects. Oviosu said the roadmap could allow Paga users to hold interest-bearing dollar balances, convert between local currency and cryptocurrencies with minimal friction, invest in previously inaccessible assets

### Scam Alert: Mountain Effort Digital Currency Exchange – A Cryptocurrency Investment Fraud **Overview** This is a detailed account of a cryptocurrency investment scam operated by entities posing as "Mountain Effort Digital Currency Exchange," also referred to as "Grayscale Exchange Futures." The scammers use fake websites, forged regulatory certifications, and personal outreach to lure victims into depositing funds, only to block withdrawals through endless demands for additional "fees." The goal is to extract as much money as possible before vanishing. This description is based on a real victim's experience and is shared publicly to warn others. If you've encountered similar tactics, report it immediately to authorities like the FTC (ftc.gov/complaint), your local cybercrime unit, or platforms like the Internet Crime Complaint Center (ic3.gov). **How the Scam Begins: Building False Trust** The fraud starts with unsolicited contact via WhatsApp from an individual named Alisa (associated phone: +44 7934 693090), who presents herself as a satisfied user and "officer" of the exchange. She engages in friendly, prolonged conversations to establish rapport, sharing fabricated success stories about quick profits in cryptocurrency trading. Once trust is gained, she provides an invitation code (e.g., something like JBTUCNDEA) to "unlock exclusive benefits" and guides the victim step-by-step to register on the platform. This is a classic "pig butchering" tactic, where emotional manipulation precedes financial exploitation. **The Fake Platform and Registration** Victims are directed to register as an investor on the scammers' website. The initial site used was www.ocean678.com/Mobile/Trade/tradelist, which has since been taken down and is no longer accessible—likely to erase evidence. The operation has shifted to a new doma [BBB Scam Type: Family/Friend Emergency] [Business: Valley789 / Ocean678 / Fu

Battlecoin [BCX]: a new (and ambitious) game changer in the world of cryptocurrency - Interview with JackofAll "When it gets too hard for mortals to generate 50BTC, new users could get some coins to play with right away." - Satoshi Nakamoto, 2010 Time goes faster when one talks about IT but, when talking about cryptocurrencies, time goes faster yet. How long have passed since we’ve heard of mythic characters from the beginning of cypherpunk era – like John Gilmore, Eric Hughes and Tim May – and those from the early days of digital currency of Wei Dai, Satoshi Nakamoto (real or not, it doesn't matter) and others, passing by the current Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies whales – that now are experts or well established entrepreneurs – to us, the Fourth Generation? Twenty-two years. However, if we consider that the real deal has only begun on 2009 with Satoshi’s Genesis Block, then the perspective of the quantic leaps we are giving become clearer. 2009 - Satoshi Nakamoto deployed tools and strategy to people regain control 2011 - FPGA Bitcoin Miners appear. Regular GPU miners start to struggle more and more for Bitcoins 2013 - ASIC miners enters the market, and an official Bitcoin mining industry arises, taking small miners – regular people – completely out of the Bitcoin mines, forcing them to mine – and to create – many different altcoins with many different purposes. 2014 - Now, five years after Bitcoin Golden Dawn and almost four years after the white ninja Satoshi’s disappearance, another cryptowarrior arises on battlefield to give (hash) power back to the people. Was Satoshi foreseeing what was about to come? However, this time, not so philanthropically… Meet JackofAll, Head Developer of Battlecoin [BCX]. ********************* Andre Torres: Jack, are you there? JackofAll: Yes.
