Recieved multiple text messages daily with several variations of this same script. Also phone calls, which I screen and report as spam everytime. "This is Stephanie (or Daniel) with ATO. We are reaching out to you based on your inquiry for financial assistance after you visited our website. We can definitely help you with a plan to improve your financial situation. I received an email regarding a financial aid application I do not recall submitting, because I currently have financial aid for my college. And in doing my due diligence to confirm the legitimacy, I found a website that seemed to support the email. However, upon further review, the addresses in the email and on the website did not match. I also checked my past emails using the main information that appeared in most of them. I found the same physical address across 6 different "financial aid" and "learning" websites. All of which are almost identical in the presentation of the websites' information. However, none of the sites or emails has a phone number. father with dementia cannot afford nursing home care My family and I are at a loss as to how to handle this situation. My father has advanced dementia. He is currently in a nursing home that is giving us a deal for his care. He is being kicked out of this nursing home because he is violent, runs away, and they can't handle caring for him. I don't blame them at all. He is out of control. The problem is that while his dementia was taking hold of him, he lost absolutely all of his money. He has no assets. Looking for advice My mom was recently diagnosed with brain cancer. She just had a biopsy to confirm the diagnosis (glioblastoma multiforme stage 4). She has opted to forego treatment and we've got a hospice admission appointment set up for Monday morning. Her partner and I are staying in the house with her.
