I received a deceptive blue postcard in the U.S. Mail that impersonates my actual mortgage lender, Freedom Mortgage Corporation. The card is deliberately designed to look official by splitting the name as “FREEDOM MORT- GAGE CORPORATION” in large bold text. The postcard uses my personal mortgage information pulled from public records, including: • Mortgage ID printed on card: 61462-408-841 • My actual lender: FREEDOM MORTGAGE CORPORATION • My name and address shown: J***** ****** *** ******* *** ********* ** ********** The card creates false urgency with this wording: “This notice is regarding your current mortgage with FREEDOM MORTGAGE CORPORATION. We need you to call us about an important matter regarding this loan. This is time sensitive so please call us at 833-382-7312 as soon as possible.” “RESPONSE NEEDED BY APRIL 14, 2026” Mailing details: Presorted First Class Mail, US Postage Paid, Daytona Beach FL Permit #457 (9570-3062-V15) The fine print on the right side states exactly: “All information provided by Mortgage Services Group, LLC, 877-899-1809. Not affiliated with, sponsored by, and loan information not provided by FREEDOM MORTGAGE CORPORATION.” I did NOT call either number and provided no personal information. This is a known deceptive mail scam that impersonates legitimate mortgage lenders to generate sales calls for mortgage protection/insurance or other services. I received a deceptive postcard/letter via U.S. Mail from “Mortgage Service Center” (also operating as First Cornerstone Mortgage LLC or Residential Mortgage). The mailer uses my personal mortgage information pulled from public records, including: • Mortgage ID: 505-129-609 (this number was printed on the letter) • My actual lender/servicer: Freedom Mortgage • County: Fairbanks North Star Borough • Closing / recording date: 03-25-2026 • Loan amount: $54,412.00 It creates urgency with wording such as: “We have been trying to reach you regarding a matter of importance as it relates to your mortgage. Please call 833-408-1597 immediately.” The return address is: PO Box 19595 Jacksonville, FL 32245-9595 The very small fine print (on the back of the letter) states exactly: “This disclosure is intended to notify you of the importance of your privacy as a consumer and how your information is protected by State and Federal laws from redisclosure. The information shown regarding your recent loan or lien is available to you through public record but does not include your private and protected information and is stored and accessed by any lending institution. NPN# 19598308. All coverage information, representation or solicitation will be provided by an insurance agent licensed in your state. All benefits are not available in all states.” I did not call the number and did not provide any personal information. This is a known nationwide deceptive mail scam that rotates through many 833-408-15xx toll-free numbers (and other toll-free numbers) to solicit mortgage services or insurance. I received a letter as FINAL NOTICE from my Lender: Freedom Mortgage Corp to inform me about an important matter regarding my property secured by the current lender. They also stated "we reserve the right to revoke allocated waiver after 7 days of receiving this notice. Aggressive notices by mail. They are using my Mortgage Company name on top of letterhead but in smaller print on the bottom they are called Fenix Protect. They act as though you have to have their insurance for mortgage in case owner dies. They are extremely weird and unprofessional when asked to be taken off mailing list. I’m afraid someone will fall for this and spend unnecessary money. Please check on this for safety of others. I received a notice in the mail that said I needed to call 844-543-9870 regarding my mortgage with Freedom Mortgage. The letter was addressed to Jae Back who is a real person but has never lived at my address. It referenced a mortgage number 60381-375-562. Post card addressed to me referenced a home mortgage loan from 7 years ago that is no longer valid is like BBB Scam January 15, 2026 Scam ID 1166052 that I received on 03 10 2026 in US Mail Received a blue postcard in regards to my mortgage. Had information about my mortgage provider and to call, important matter about the loan. The mortgage ID didn't match my mortgage number, otherwise they only have my name and address. So I called them and gave them all the information from the people that called there selfs Freedom Mortgage Foreclosure Department Solutions. They said that it was a scam.
