A scammer going by the name “Fredrick Wilford” contacted me via email for a job offer, but the interview was conducted via chat only, as the position was for a fully remote editor. Once I completed the interview and short editing assessment, I was sent an email from “Daniel Gandarilla” the following day extending the job offer and asking me to fill out a W-4 form and submit a voided check for direct deposit. Sending such sensitive information via email without ever speaking to a person was a red flag to me, so I asked if there was a phone number associated with the company. The scammer gave me a phone number, which I promptly called. The number was an area code in Texas, and it immediately disconnected. I searched for more information and found the scammers are using a legitimate company’s name to extend job offers and collect personal information from people. @media (min-width:768px){.css-1w6dufj{-webkit-box-flex:0;-webkit-flex-grow:0;-ms-flex-positive:0;flex-grow:0;-webkit-flex-basis:auto;-ms-flex-preferred-size:auto; [BBB Scam Type: Employment] [Business: Coast Healthcare Management LLC Date] [Location: MD, USA- 20886]

Scam alert. Fredrick Wilson. Aka doctor fredrick Wilson sent me an email for a job interview. He asked me to log into team for an initial interview. Initially I was under the impression it was a zoom interview. He sent me a link and asked if he could call me for a formal introduction. Let’s just say his voice definitely did not match the profile picture. After he introduced himself and got my background information he proceeded to inform me the interview would be conducted via text. He asked for my mailing address and said I would get a notification by the next business day if I was hired. Complete scam. I received an email that appeared to be legitimate inviting me to interview for a remote proofreading job. The email address appeared to be connected to a real company, Coast Healthcare Management, which offers the type of services described in the scammer's message. When I responded, however, I was invited to attend a text-based interview via Teams...no conversation. Very weird. My spidey senses started tingling, and upon Googling, I discovered that this is a scam. The job offer is extended following the interview, and the scammers attempt to gain personal information (including bank account info) by requesting a blank check and W4 as part of the hiring process. No thank you. But this is a real co. in CA. @media (min-width:768px){.css-1w6dufj{-webkit-box-flex:0;-webkit-flex-grow:0;-ms-flex-positive:0;flex-grow:0;-webkit-flex-basis:auto;-ms-flex-preferred-size:auto;flex-basis:auto;width:calc(100% * 6 / var(--Grid-parent-columns) - (var(--Grid-parent-columns) - 6) * (var(--Grid-parent-columnSpacing) / var(--Grid-par [BBB Scam Type: Employment] [Business: Coast Healthcare LLC] [Location: WI, USA- 54494]
Help with My Mindset -- Caregiving after experiencing trauma and abuse I'm hoping for advice and resource suggestions for developing a healthier caregiver's mindset. The TL:DR is I'm responsible for my mom's day-to-day care, there's a complicated history there and she now creates a lot of anxiety and frustration for me -- I want to find a way to be around her that allows me to remain my true, kind, compassionate self, and not give in to the triggers or stay stuck in resentment and self-limiting thinking traps. I became my mother's primary caregiver last year at the onset of the pandemic. My mother was severely bipolar throughout my childhood and became an alcoholic during my teenage years. I spent most of my twenties, into my thirties, healing from trauma I experienced due to what would now be considered abuse and neglect. I've been responsible for her care in some form since I was 19. With a lot of work, I've gotten through the anger and resentment I feel towards her for the past harm she caused. However, I'm trying to find a mindset that allows me to more healthfully navigate the ongoing frustration and anxiety she causes me now. As a younger adult, she was brilliant -- she has an MBA and walked out on a Ph.D in philosophy more or less because she got bored. Now she is cognitively impaired due to psychiatric episodes she's had and the medications she's now been on for decades. She lives in anxiety and is constantly creating problems and worries she can't resolve herself, which she then puts on me by creating new tasks for me to do -- or trying to do them herself and doing them wrong, which then creates messes I have to clean up. She regularly rains on good news with doomsday scenarios and "what ifs." And she invents potential diagnoses for herself and creates healthcare management work, which she either then dumps on me or messes up herself. Moreover, her ability to read emotional cues is zero. I find myself disoriented regularly when I share something about m
Healthcare Management App I am going to need to help my father in law manage some of his health insurance, doctor appointments, and procedure information but I live 3000 miles away. Ideally I would like to have an app that helps us share information securely and in one place so I can make all the necessary calls and give him notes (and he can let me know what doctors are telling him). I have been researching, but all seem to have positives and negatives so I was hoping someone here may have some experience! I have an Apple and my FIL has an android. TIA!
