Recently, myself and several others have received unsolicited phone calls from 208-948-3555. The caller identifies himself as "Chris Del Grande" with a company called "Value Merchants," claiming to be calling in reference to resumes posted online. Upon looking into the contact details, I noted the following: Caller ID Number: 208-948-3555 [BBB Scam Type: Employment] [Business: Value Merchants / Chris Del Grande D] [Location: MI, USA- 48038]
These are scammers trying to reach out and get information from you, they want recordings of you saying your name, "yes" or other personal identifying phrases. This is the initial script they used with me, please note they may use another name: Hi, this is Chris with Valued Merchants. We found your resume online, was just reaching out to set up a time for us to speak in detail about the positions we have open. Uh, if you're still looking for work, of course. They called and left a voicemail posing as the owner of the company. I looked this up online and other people have received this exact same voicemail from this phone number and the phone number does not match the number on the website. The voicemail- “Hi this is Chris with valued merchants we found your résumé online was just reaching out to set up a time for us to speak in detail about the positions we have open if you're still looking for work of course you can reach me back at 208-948-3555.” [BBB Scam Type: Employment] [Business: Valued Merchants] [Location: NJ, USA- 08805]
