Called one of our locations. Called home office. Wanted copies of credit statements sent to [email protected] ; I left off the last "c" in email address. Used name of Randi. Called back and gave another "direct" email address of [email protected] with name attached "Randesha Haynes". I attached the following to the emails I sent: Call wanting our statements sent over. Instead this is what I sent them: The email address [email protected] is associated with a common merchant services phishing scam. If you received an email from this address, follow these safety guidelines: • Do Not Share Statements: The primary goal of this scam is to obtain your current merchant processing statements to harvest sensitive business and financial data. • Do Not Click Links: Avoid clicking any links or downloading attachments, as they may contain malware or lead to fraudulent login pages. • Verify Independently: If you have concerns about your merchant account, contact your provider directly using the official phone number found on your physical billing statement or the provider's verified website. • Report the Email: You can report phishing attempts to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) or forward the email to the Anti-Phishing Working Group at [email protected] .
