The message sounded suspicious because: I am not the person they asked for Real medical providers do not discuss “last visits” via robocall The number does not appear anywhere on CharterCare’s official website A carrier lookup shows this number belongs to SINCH (Inteliquent/Neutral Tandem), a VOIP carrier commonly used by robocall operations Online searches indicate this number is associated with scam activity This appears to be a healthcare impersonation scam designed to harvest personal information, insurance details, or other sensitive data by making victims call a fake callback number. I have been receiving identical robocalls for almost a year using rotating numbers. Today’s call showed 401-424-7435 as the caller ID, but the automated message instructed me to call back 401-424-7425 instead. Both numbers belong to the same carrier (SINCH / formerly Inteliquent), which suggests coordinated use of paired numbers inside the same block. The voicemail also included the system header reading out each digit of the incoming number, which exposed the underlying routing despite the spoofing.
