I had an item posted on FB market place. The scammer messaged me interest and said he would Zelle the money. When the email came through it said I had to upgrade my account and to call the 953 number to do that. At that point I called out the scammer and told him I was going to report him. The number he used to text me is 412-484-7997. This is the email I received after he said he made the original amount for my item We want you to know that we received your payment of $40.00 but your account is not ready to be deposited for that amount, due to the money was sent from a zelle business account which requires an immediate expansion to your zelle account. What am I supposed to do? You are hereby informed to contact the last sender to send in an additional payment of $500.00 to help expand your account. Immediately this is done your account will be fully credited with the total sum of $540.00. Once your sender sends the extra $500.00 you will receive a new “CONFIRMATION EMAIL” from Zelle®? team giving you instructions on how to reimburse back the $500.00 to your sender’s account which makes the expansion complete and the funds will be automatically deposited into your account instantly.
