I missed my flight at YVR and I called the YVR number of 604-207-7077. They transferred me to Air Canada's customer service phone number and I got transferred to another number, 855-510-4098. This number claimed to be the "consolidation desk" This number IS A SCAM!! I spoke to some weirdo named "Jim Miller," and he promised to rebook my flight for the following day, for an upcharge of $400, I gave me my credit card because I originally called the trusted YVR phone number. The next day rolls around and I have no flight so I called back and someone named Oliver said he could do the same thing and charge me $600 for the next day. I was very hesistant and the more I was the more agitated and like jumpy he was getting. Saying he would not give me any flight information until I let him charge my credit card. I got sketched out so I called YVR customer service to verify this "consolidation desk" and the names of the people and he said there is no such thing and the number when he looked it up came up with a scam.
