I received a call from 646-299-9639 supposedly from Citibank credit card to inquire on a suspicious charge on my credit card. I don't have a Citibank credit card and the caller was addressing me by a last name that I have not used in 30 years. I asked him to verify that he was legitimate, including by providing a call back number. The call back number he gave was 800-374-9500 -- close to but NOT Citibank's number. He gave me my supposed address on Staten Island (NOT and never has been), date of birth (correct), the last 4 digits of the supposed credit card (****), and the date the card was supposedly opened (4/13/2026). He said that his name (Chris Marpin), employee ID 080762. He had an Indian accent. I hung up. I received an identical call about 10 days ago. I did not take that call as far before hanging up.
