I can't unfreeze my credit file at Experian prior to taking the e-Verify quiz. I have no credit history. I called the (714) 830-7000 Experian corporate number. I explained to them that I can't make an Experian account because my device doesn't support iOS 16 to finish account activation. Why the hell is Experian's account creation behind an app exclusively? What the fuck is this? They just told me to file a police report and they'd have me passed to the membership services. I'm so done with this shit. Sorry, I needed to vent. I feel so stuck right now.

Did I just get my identity stolen? Repost from another sub I really need help and I want someone to read this asap: I am freaked out right now. I have been trying to freeze my credit with Experian for 2 hours. I looked around and found out if you want to have a real person contact you should called their business number "714 830 7000" and just explain the problem to them. I found this response in multiple Reddit threads and other websites. So I went to their website "https://www.experian.com/contact/corporate-contacts.html" and verified the number is an actual Experian number. After finding out it is an actual number I called someone passed my call to a call center, there was a lot of chatter in the background and it was off putting and the lady I was talking to had an accent. This weirded me out but I ended up giving her my social security number like a dumbass. She then "sent" a verification link to my phone which came through the official Experian number. This made me very uncomfortable and I refused to click the link because I was able to send myself this code by attempting to sign up. So I asked her if there is any way she can verify she is an actual employee and she said "you called us" as her explanation, I asked her to connect me to a manager and she said she needed a reason and I said I wanted to speak to a manager to verify this is the actual number and she didnt do it. I asked for a support email and she told me to email an @ experiandirect.com (Their domain is Experian.com) Am I fucked? What do I do if they are actually scammers.
