Received this voicemail “ Good morning this message is for Shelby Teresa Collins and with the legal action team. We received a wage garnishment order from one of your creditors because it looks like you missed a couple payments. Before I process and permit anything. I certainly like to see if we can figure out what happens, just get it corrected. Please be advised that the verification of income and employment is scheduled to go out on Thursday so we want to make sure that we are mindful of their date and get this resolved prior to. My number is 800-358-117- 1175. Sorry, extension 101 again that's 800-358-1175 extension 101. thank you.” Spoke with a lady who claims to be named Theresa Collins with The Legal Action Team. She called from (954) 953-6046. She claimed I had taken a payday loan in 2017 and they were just now (2026) looking at garnishing my wages. I have never taken a payday loan in my life. I told her I was going to do my research into her company because I felt it was off. Thank goodness I did, because I found similar stories with the same phone numbers on the BBB website. I was foolish the last time when I got scammed, it was the early part of last year in 2025. I believe the woman’s name was Lisa. I looked up a story similar to mine on BBB after I paid this woman $400. She claimed I owed a personal loan like a Cash and go loan of some kind. I panicked because she said my paycheck would be garnished and I would have to go to court and it would be more money to pay. I hate that Ivwas such a sucker last year. Just today, Wednesday, January 28, 2026 at 1:05 pm CST, a lady claiming to be Jessica, not providing a last name but stated on my voicemail that she is with the Legal Action Team. I didn’t answer her call, just let the voicemail catch it. I will try to upload her message on the next email in a few minutes. Anyway, Jessica stated on the voicemail: “We have been trying to contact you in regards to a wage garnishment that has been approved and ready to process out this week. If you are interested in some type of payment arrangement or settlement, please contact our office immediately at 1 800 358-1175 and my extension is 105. Thank you.
