Community Reports
Scammer has called our business twice in a month taking opportune advantage of our weather situations. Both times they said they were with Xcel Energy (a local utility co. here). 1st call said we needed to make a payment on our past due bill or our electricity would be turned off (conveniently for the scammer, the real Xcel had already scheduled a planned power outage because of high wind). The 2nd time they said they were 1 hour away from turning off our power because they were performing work and asked if we received notification a few weeks ago. When we said no, they gave a work order# and phone# 808-800-9951 for us to call to try and stop the planned outage since we "missed" their notification. @media (min-width:768px){.css-1w6dufj{-webkit-box-flex:0;-webkit-flex-grow:0;-ms-flex-positive:0;flex-grow:0;-webkit-flex-basis:auto;-ms-flex-preferred-size:auto;flex-basis:auto;width:calc(100% * 6 / var(--Grid-parent-columns) - (var(--Grid-parent-columns) - 6) * (var(--Grid-parent-columnSpacing) / var(--Grid-parent [BBB Scam Type: Utility] [Business: Xcel Energy imposter] [Location: CO, USA- 80525]
