I received an inbound phone call on 3/26/26 at 12:27 pm from the phone number 814-216-1381. I had been expecting a call from the bank who finances my car loan. I was busy at work and it was loud. The person who called seemed to be from the bank, they transferred me to a second person who was going to verify my car warranty coverage. The second person said they were with Service Activation Center. I did confirm my mailing address they read off. As well as the make, model, and year of my car; as well as the estimated milage. In hindsight I told them that information, they didn't read it to me. The red flag went up when the amount of years/miles left for coverage didn't match what I was expecting to hear. I asked if they were telling me about coverage I could opt into or that I already have. I couldn't get a straight answer, so I said I'd verify some things and call back if needed. The person said they'd close my file as there wasn't much sense in me calling back since I don't have any active warranty coverage. I called my loan provider bank and they didn't have a record of calling me, nor did the dealership that I purchased my car from/have my warranty through.
