I received two phone calls from 603-704-8243 claiming to be "Jennifer Crawford" from PSS (?). I did not answer the call, but a voicemail was left claiming that my case had been "red-flagged" and "retransferred" to her office to "effectuate service". The first phone call, they referenced me by my maiden name. The second by my married name. They told me to contact "the issuing firm" and failing to do this will result in further legal proceedings that will take place without my knowledge. The number that they left me for said firm was 833-410-2192. Upon calling this number, they told me that I was being served due to non-payment of a Capital One credit card ending in the last four digits of a card that I do not own. They claimed that the card was from 1/23/2014 and was removed from collections 4/21/2023. I cannot find any history of the account that they are citing through Capital One OR through my Credit Report. The gentleman that I spoke with at the firm was Franklin Parker ext. 467. They let me know that they are "willing to work with me" if I can make lump payments in order to avoid court proceedings. [BBB Scam Type: Other] [Business: Unknown] [Location: NH, USA- 03276]
