I received a phone call from 833-445-0123. I did not pick up because I did not recognize the number. The voicemail said it was Walmart Optical calling regarding a balance on my account. I was caught off guard because I mailed a check 3 days ago to Walmart Optical. I wanted to let them know that so I called back. They went through the whole "this conversation may be recorded for quality assurance" and asked for name, address and DOB to confirm the account. They wanted my credit card number to pay the balance but I had sent the check so they did not get my credit card number. I have to say that when I hung up something didn't seem right so I googled the number and saw that its a scam. I was annoyed with myself because I am usually always on top of suspicious emails and phone calls.. Always verifying phone numbers before returning unknown phone calls. But I recently received a bill from Walmart Optical and these people had my cell phone number and the correct amount I owed. Lesson learned.
