Received a phone call from 1-833-784-1940 on 04/06/26 and 04/07/26 claiming to be Aetna, I didn’t answer. They left an automated voicemail about “an important health reminder “, they provided a 7 digit pin# that was supposed to be provided to them when I call back to confirm it was me. I received a message from saying "Calling hello on behalf of your health plan this is Aetna calling [me] with an important health reminder Please call us toll-free at 1833 784 1940 and enter the seven digit pin [pin] So we know it's you Again, the number is 1833 784 1940 and your seven digit pin is [pin]. If you call from the same number, we left this message. You won't need your pin. Received a call from+1 (833) 784-1940. They claim to be Aetna stating they had important information about my account. They provided a seven digit code which I was to use to access the information. I did not. Instead, I signed into my Aetna account, and saw that there were no issues. I see that there was a “ fraud “ notification posted here in 2025. This is still occurring. Received a phone call from 1-833-784-1940 on 01/22/26. They left an automated voicemail, and provided a 7 digit pin# that was supposed to be provided to them during a callback. Called Aetna and they have no record of calling me on 02/06/25. Google searchsuggested it is a scam/spam. Caller ID showed “Spam?Aetna”. I use Verizon. Recieved a voicemail pretending to be Aetna. The message included my full name, which makes me suspect Aetna has been hacked. I did not call back. The message said "On behalf of your health plan this is Aetna calling >my full name< with an important health reminder. Please call us toll free at 1-833-7841940 and enter the seven digit pin ####### so we know its you. Again the number is one eight three three seven eight four one nine four zero and your seven digit PIN is # # # # # # #. If you call from the same number we left this message you wont need your pin. Multiple messages received stating the exact same message. Said to call 8337841940 and to use a 7 digit pin # - 1, 0, 5, 0, 4, 7, 6. They stated my name, but only said they were calling on behalf of my health plan, said her name was Edna. I’ve received 4 calls with the exact same message. I received a call from 833-784-1940 and they left a voicemail stating it was Aetna and they need to speak to me regarding my health. They stated to call the above number and left a pin number to use but if I called with the phone they left the voicemail then I wouldn’t need that pin number. I received repeated calls from the number 833-784-1940. I don't answer calls from unfamiliar numbers. Each time they called, they left a voicemail message saying they were calling on behalf of my health plan, Aetna, with an important health reminder. They asked me to return the call and provide a PIN so they would know it was me; but if I called from the same number at which they left the message, they would not need the PIN. Of course this all sounded suspicious and scammy to me, so I have not called back. They've called me three times in the last week, all from the same number. I received a phone call from +1 (833) 784-1940 and voicemail from an automated recording pretending to be Aetna requesting I call the number back about important information regarding my account. Unfortunately I did call the number back and provided it with my DOB and Zip Code when they asked for that information for “verification” that it was me.
