Got a robo call from Crestwood Financial. This happens once or twice a day. They offer a $70,000 unsecured loan at about 6%, or 5.9%. Press 2 to talk with a rep. It says to press 9 to be removed from the call list but if you do that it just verifies you are human and calls more often. I talked with Marcus Silva and he verifies my address and asks for date of birth and last 4 of social security number. He stated that this information is useless for anyone you give it too over the phone. His phone number is (866) 457-0229. When I asked how to verify that he is working for a legitimate company he gave me the web site brightertraillendimd.com. Many of the scammers will hang up on me when I tell them that I have asked repeatedly to be removed from the call list.
