UPS/Global +18765031566, Kingston JM Wow, a 'UPS Driver' called this morning. Claimed he was going to deliver a 'Mercedes Benz' and a million dollar check from 'Mega-millions lottery'. No caller ID. I said I had made no such order. He claimed they'd tried to contact me, and failed. I asked for a tracking number. He said 505-US-(my initials). I said I had never seen a UPS tracking number like that. Then he said he was not a UPS driver. He was with 'Global Inc.' Very robotic sounding, actually. Kind of like a decent synthesized voice. Tempo so... regular, as were the pauses. Very emotionless. He claimed he was getting 'another call' from the bank, and then my phone made a 'beep' sound. Well, I don't have infinite minutes on the cell phone to dick around with lying morons or bots, so I hanged up, and he actually left a voice mail, which DID contain the number. > Hi. So you hanged up the phone. If you're there, pick up, I'm going to call you back. Thrilling. Fortunately what they called was my 'Google Voice' number. Spam, block calls, etc. Not that the 'bot won't simply synthesize another random, fake number. Pretty obvious, but I don't have all day to play with these, uh 'people'.
