Received the following: "Hi ********, This is Mia with ATO. Following up about your personal load request. Trying to connect you with our loan officer regarding your approval. Txt END to opt out. Otherwise, can I call you now? If the loan is no longer needed, let me know.". Clearly a spam text. Research shows many people getting almost EXACTLY this same message (down to the name "Mia" and the wording). The text number given was 877-455-8569. I had no intention of responding or calling & just blocked the number. My number is on the Do Not Call list, which apparently means absolutely nothing nowadays. I keep getting text messages from 877-455-8569 saying Mia from ATO would like to review my application regarding my personal loan. I did not nor am I getting a personal loan. Received a text message from (877) 455-8569: "Hi (my name), this is Mia from ATO. We would like to review your application regarding your personal loan. Txt END to opt out. (My name) if you no longer need the loan, let me know. Otherwise, can I call you now to discuss?" I have not requested a loan or even looked into getting a loan. No idea who Mia or ATO is. Contacted by text from 877-455-8569. Message reading "Hi, this is Mia from ATO. We would like to review your application regarding your personal loan. Txt END to opt out. if you no longer need the loan, let me know. Otherwise, can I call you now to discuss?". I never requested a loan from anyone and I never heard of ATO. Received 2 more messages, seemingly automated, from the same number with similar messages. Almost carbon copy. Kept getting text from Mia about my personal loan application to ATO, that I never requested. This text coming from this number: +1 (877) 455-8569. [BBB Scam Type: Advance Fee Loan] [Business: ATO] [Location: AZ, USA- 85298]

An unsolicited Text Message from (877) 455-8569 said "Hi (my name), this is Stephanie from ATO. We would like to review your application regarding your personal loan. Txt END to opt out. (My name) if you no longer need the loan, let me know. Otherwise, can I call you now to discuss?" I have not inquired nor applied for a personal loan with any organization. They are obviously using a basic phishing scam for their lazy marketing methodology hoping that someone gullible will respond to this. I have been registered on the national Do Not Call List registry for well over 15 years (since I first was issued this phone number).
