Extended Warranty Scam? Location: Pennsylvania, US I've been receiving letters regarding an extended warranty I had never activated for my car for a while but never got around to it. Had some time today so I called the number on the letter (I had gotten talked into getting an extended warranty when I purchased my car 4 years ago and the letters mentioned the warranty level/plan I had gotten at the point of purchase, so I figured it was related). The rep ran me through the benefits, and I had gotten to the point where I was giving the rep my bank information since they suggested using the bank I was currently financing the car from. I gave my routing number and hung up halfway through providing my account number after processing that something seemed off about it as I had a hard time believing I'd need to pay for a warranty that I'd already paid up front for 4 years ago, and after realizing I misheard the numbers mentioned and seeing that I'd be paying a \~$5k over the course of the next 3 years. It's now been about 7 hours since I hung up on that call, and I just got "purchase confirmation" email for that warranty despite never providing my full account number or finalizing the call. Am I on the hook for this? This was the number on confirmation email: Service Activation Center | Toll Free: (888) 404-1458  This was the number on the letter: 1-888-500-1321
