I received a Final notice stating the following. "Our records indicate that you have not contacted us to have your vehicle service contract activated. We are informing you that if your factory warranty has expired, you will be responsible for paying any repairs. However, if expired, you can still activate a service contract on your vehicle before it's to late Please Call 888-646-0339 today." We didn't call the number, we called the local dealership to inquire why we got this notice. They told us that it is a scam, and disregard it. I purchased a used car in May 2025 and added a powertrain warranty. I received a final notice in the mail saying I needed to contact 888-646-0339 to activate my warranty. When I googled the number, I found it listed here as a scam. I called the number back and told them I was reporting them to the BBB, and they promptly hung up on me. The letter stated “ our records, indicate that you have not contacted us to have your vehicle service contract activated. However, if expired, you can still activate a service contract on your vehicle before it’s too late.” Summary of terms or vague such as 3/36, 4/48, 4/100, 5/75, 5/100 without any specific years or mileage. In addition they give you a customer ID number, they know your vehicle details (model, make, year). They ask you to call 888-646-0339 for packages without listing any prices.
