I recieved mail that was designed to look like a check. Thought it was DMv. On it it said that immediate action was requested regarding my vehicle. It states "We would like to speak with you about an important matter regarding your 2019 Hyundai. Please call 1-888-965-2394 as this will be our FINAL ATTEMPT TO NOTIFY YOU. We reserve the right to revoke allocated waiver after 7 days of recieving this notice." [BBB Scam Type: Government Agency Imposter] [Business: Motor Vehicle Services] [Location: WI, USA- 53719]

I received a post card that states: "IMMEDIATE RESPONSE TO THIS NOTICE REQUESTED. Our records inticate that you have not contacted us to have your vehicle protection activated. This notice is to inform you that your 2025 RAM (recently purchased vehicle) is in need of vehicle protection in order to ensure its continued good running condition. PLEASE call us at 1-888-965-2394. By neglecting to activate your protection program you will be responsible for paying all repairs out of pocket." This is misleading and is interpreted as if a person does not call that number to activate this "protection" then the warranty will not be honored. Got a letter in the mail saying IMMEDIATE ACTION REQUESTED. We would like to speak with you about an important matter regarding your (year, car). Please call 1-888-965-2394 as this will be our FINAL ATTEMPT TO NOTIFY YOU. We reserve the right to revoke allocated waiver after 7 days of receiving this notice. At the bottom was something that resembled a check, but was not. It said suggested service location: Any ASE Certified Mechanic, then was to the order of my daughter with our address. I received a postcard in regular mail. Accurate year/make/model of car I recently purchased. I was advised to call 888-965-2394 to have my "vehicle protection activated." Since I did purchase an extended warranty on the vehicle I was slightly curious, so I searched the 888 number above (which led to BBB and filing this report). No email address, mail address, nor website provided on the card, only other identification found was "Not affiliated with Dealer or Manufacturer" and "All claims administered by Royal Administration." Other fine print indicates they deal in "insurance products." Of course I did not call the number. I received a scam mailing using a three-fold letter with perforations that resembles other official mail I have received about my vehicle (e.g. from dealership or DMV). Looks real and official. Top third includes: My vehicle year, make, and model with a picture of the vehicle with a Suggested Service Location that lists something close to an actual dealership, but not one that exists. Middle third includes the message, which states: "We would like to to speak with you about an important matter regarding your [year, make] Subaru. Please call 1-888-965-2394 as this will be our FINAL ATTEMPT TO NOTIFY YOU. We reserve the right to revoke allocated waiver after 7 days of receiving this notice. Record ID: CH58562387. TOLL-FREE: 1-888-965-2394. The bottom third includes what mimics some kind of check/coupon that repeats the Record ID number, has my address, and suggests a Service Location: "Any ASE Certified Mechanic". Fine print at the bottom includes: "Not all consumers have previous coverage. We are not affiliated with your dealership or manufacturer. THIS IS NOT A CHECK." .css-1w6dufj{-webkit-box-flex:0;-webkit-flex-grow:0;-ms-flex-positive:0;flex-grow:0;-webkit-flex-basis:auto;-ms-flex-preferred-size:auto;flex-basis:auto;width:calc(100% * 12 / var(--Grid-parent-columns) - (var(--Grid-parent-columns) - 12) * (var(--Grid-parent-colu [BBB Scam Type: Government Agency Imposter] [Business: Motor Vehicle Services] [Location: WI, USA- 53703]

I received an important looking letter in the mail (the kind that usually are for tax return documents with the fold and tear edges). Inside it states "IMMEDIATE ACTION REQUESTED" Record ID: CH####### Contact Us: 1-888-965-2394. We would like to speak with you about an important matter regarding your 2025 Kia. Please call 1-888-965-2394 as this will be our FINAL ATTEMPT TO NOTIFY YOU." On the letter it has a picture of me make and model of car with correct year, my Full Name and My Address. I called the number this morning asking about it, the person on the other end of the phone identified themselves as the dealership I bought my vehicle from, service department. They said they did not have any further information for me and I told them I had no idea what they were asking me for and anything I would have would be at home or with the dealer themselves as that is where I signed everything. They asked me if I had a way for no out of pocket expenses if I were to suddenly break down, for example, if something were to happen with my power train. When I refused to give any information they did not already have, they said they would do some more research and call me back within 10-15 minutes. They did not call me back. I called the dealership directly and was told it was a scam to try and sell me extended power train warranties and such. Please do not give these scammers your personal information.
