A voicemail was left "This is a urgent message regarding summons and background investigation being filed against a {Firstname Lastname} case number 222-02747 regarding your file are being prepared to be send out. The caller left a voice mail stating one of my family members has a complaint against her. To stop further action call 951-785-4823. I did not forward to the family member and did not call the number as the caller did not state who they were or who they are associated with. They number called from is 972-640-0229. Call was received from the exact same number that another BBB poster received and the message was nearly identical, and the name they referred to was not a legal name of myself or anyone I know. They did not refer to their 'office' by any business name, nor was it specified what they were allegedly trying to reach me about. Definitely a phishing or extortion scam.
