I purchased a snow shovel off the website forestaxes.com and paid with apple cash. Included in my total price was $69.00 for shipping on 12/19. I reached out to the company to inquire about if they know the estimated shipping date, which they told me would be Monday, December 22. On that Monday I was contacted by another company, Global Trek Logistics (I will be filing a separate complaint for them) by my personal email saying my shipping was on hold due to insurance issues. I then contacted forest axes asking about the situation to try to understand, and they informed me that was the shipping company and they were a real company, and it was all by the book. I paid what I was told was a refundable $350 to pay for insurance on the product and was told it would ship the next. I then contacted the company again asking if there was a shipping link or number I could use to track and the insurance information, the person I spoke to, was confused as to why I hadn't received that information yet. The day after, I was again contacted by the shipping company requesting an additional refundable $550 to ship the product. I reached back out to forest axes and they were pretty like, "not my problem". I asked for a refund on the product, which they refused. No where on the website was the product marked final sale either. So I purchased a product and it is being held hostage somewhere. I was contacted Monday, December 22 through email that my shipment had been delayed. When I reached out to both companies (Forest Axes and Global trek logistics) I was told it was because the cost of the item, it required $350 refundable payment for insurance due to the cost of the product. Again, after this was verified by the seller and that Global trek logistics was a real company, the $350 was paid by apple cash. I was told that I would receive the insurance information and the shipping information together the next day (12/23) when the product shipped. I still never received a shipping notification, so I reached out to both companies Tuesday, December 23. I did not receive either insurance information or shipping information at all. I was actually contacted the next day (12/24), from Global Trek logistics that I now owed an additional refundable $550 payment for things like the FAA, EPA, FCC, etc before my product would ship. I was continually harassed by Global trek logistics over the next couple of days. I had obvious reservations about paying an additional $550 payment without guarantee my product would be delivered and a total of $900 would be refunded to me. I asked for the refund of the $350 that was for insurance and I was refused the payment and was told that a police report would be filed against me for "not cooperating". The harassment continued through Christmas night with multiple emails and what's app messages. I also informed the person I was speaking to, that I was at work and could not communicate due to the nature of my job.
