My Physical Therapist recommended 2 trekking poles for me; after googling, I Found "BEST 5 TREKKING POLES OF 2026" on www.picklegend.com (note: part of scam directing us to buy the IRONIS POLES); the article’s “Editor's Choice” was IRONIS so clicked on link "Visit Site" (note: later discovered other 4 choices had no links to those individual sites); the Pick Legend article said the only "con" about this pick was the length of time waiting due to demand, but they happened to have 3 left in stock; we ordered 2 IRONIS trekking poles for $185.30 on April 8, 2026; immediately received confirmation on Order #****; upon delivery on April 21, 2026 we received 2 low quality, low cost NECASIL trekking poles at $14.99 each; this was not what we ordered; there is no phone number to call so immediately contacted support@ironis-uk; they wrote that we could return the items for a 3% refund but we would have to pay for return shipping & tracking to Thailand; further checking on the Internet, Google Al said "there is no such known brand or manufacturer" as Ironis; on the IRONIS website that the link sent us to (www.ironis-us.com), under "About" it said their company name is VORTNIC, whose list of products includes Dash Cams, Wireless Speakers, Ear Buds & Smart Watches; the VORTNIC graphics & logo design is very similar to IRONIS, including the same poor English grammar & misspelling in their policies, suggesting this may be an overseas "bait & switch" retail scam; they made a hefty profit on my wife & I. As an aside, the Return Address on the package had the name "Evelyn" w/ the address being 17575 S Western Avenue, Gardena, CA 90248; this address actually belongs to ExtraSpace Storage Units [BBB Scam Type: Online Purchase] [Business: Ironis aka Vortnic] [Location: Clark, NJ, USA - 07066]
