The following link is for a website selling the MitiCast Projector, a home video projector capable of projecting video images from your phone, laptop, or streaming player onto the wall or ceiling. The scam lies in the pricing and claims that the company marketing it, Spark Tek (aka Straight Commerce, Inc.), makes in its online sales site. It claims in a disclaimer located in the website that this projector is superior in quality and performance to "imitations" offered on competing retailer sites like Amazon and eBay (below): ?? CAUTION: Beware of Fake MitiCast Projectors! Avoid imitations sold on Amazon, eBay, and other sites. These copies often break easily, lack HD quality, and come with no warranty or support. For guaranteed performance, safety, and your full 30-day money-back protection, buy only from the official MitiCast Projector website today. Indeed, a short search on Amazon revealed an identical, though rebranded, projector selling for a third of the cost. The quality of the Spark Tek offering, however, is in fact INferior, as evidenced by a unit I was given this past Christmas failing to work after only eight viewing sessions. Furthermore, efforts made to seek a satisfactory resolution with this merchant were met with polite replies of our complaint being made outside the nominal 30-day return/refund window so our plea for resolution would thus be declined. I'd submit that a company offering a product that it claims to be superior to competing IDENTICAL products offered for far less, and that fail mere weeks after purchase with no offer of refund or reimbursement constitutes at best, extremely poor customer service, and at worst, blatant fraud. The following link is to the site where my family member went to purchase said projector: https://www.miticastprojector.com/en/?flux_fts=qplxiioxpopooozccqietataaiqpcxiaocaiazxf04b4&gclid=&network=g&campaignid=2 [BBB Scam Type: Online Purchase] [Business: Spark Tek] [Location: CA, USA- 95
