Scammers impersonating MoneyLion Inc. contacted consumers through their platform and associated channels, targeting those seeking emergency personal loans. The fraudsters claimed to offer legitimate lending services but instead enrolled victims in unwanted high-interest credit builder programs without consent. Consumers who engaged had their complete personal information including Social Security numbers, dates of birth, addresses, and banking details compromised, with many suffering credit damage from unauthorized account activities.

I applied for a personal emergency loan through this company and I was signed up for a credit builder loan paying 100% interest for a service I never received. It has ended up hurting my credit report and withdrawing my account into the negative. I have tried calling and canceling many times to protect my personal information, but I’ve been unsuccessful and was told I owe money that I never received. Impossible Customer Service to deal with and supervisors never return phone calls stating to be available between the hours of 10 PM and 4 AM EST. Now they would like more cash or new debit card information in order to rectify this situation and close all accounts. Completely bogus and fraudulent as I am trying to figure out who deposited bad checks as part of this scam. [BBB Scam Type: Counterfeit Product] [Business: Moneylion] [Location: SC, USA - 29414]
