I was trying to convert a regular image to a high-resolution image 2 days ago when I came across PixGenie in my Google search. After upgrading an image on the PixGenie website, I was prompted to pay $0.10 to download the image. After paying the $01.0, I received an email at 10:03 AM EST from [email protected] that said "The USD 0.10 payment with USD 0.10 fee will appear on your bankcard statement as: "picmagic.co*" instead of the website from which you purchased the mentioned product. It's just used for sending bill statement by the seller's payment processor as a tool. If you need to unsubscribe, please feel free to reply directly to this email. Thanks, PixGenie Team." At 10:30 AM EST, I received a text from my bank's security informing me that my card was used at "PICMAGIC*W+18665876946" in the amount of $49.90 and asked if I authorized the activity. After confirming with my bank that I did not authorize the transaction, my debit card was immediately deactivated. [BBB Scam Type: Online Purchase] [Business: PixGenie] [Location: MA, USA - 02139]
I am reporting a coordinated international subscription fraud network involving multiple interconnected domains, payment processors, and shell entities. Primary Incident: I was charged $49.90 after visiting https://www.vidiofy.co, which presents itself as an AI video generation service. The charge appeared on my statement as: “PICMAGIC*N+18665876946 IRVINE, CA” The payment/receipt processor is: https://www.picmagic.co [email protected] Phone: 866-587-6946 Refund requests are routed to: https://www.pixgenie.net [email protected] Phone: +1 (830) 582-9060 Fraud Mechanism: This operation uses a “subscription trap” model: • A low-cost or “trial” entry point • Automatically converts into a $49.90 recurring charge • Disclosure is unclear or not presented in a conspicuous manner • This appears to violate FTC guidelines and the Restore Online Shoppers’ Confidence Act (ROSCA) Failure of Service: Despite being charged, the service did NOT deliver a usable product. • The generated video file is 0:00 seconds in length • No functional output was provided • Refund was denied despite non-delivery Deceptive Practices: • Customer service phone number (+1 830-582-9060) rings, auto-connects, and immediately disconnects • Multiple conflicting jurisdictions listed (Hong Kong, Netherlands, U.S.) • Entities include Guldex B.V. (Netherlands) and others with questionable or unverifiable addresses • Evidence of “burner” domains used to rotate operations Network Indicators: The same phone number (+1 830-582-9060) is used across multiple domains, including: picmagic.co pixgenie.net grungrove.com getmobi.ai pdfdirect.co picmuse.co teamshopec.com bolonzi.com oceanmhine.com g [BBB Scam Type: Online Purchase] [Business: PixGenie] [Location: MA, USA- 02724]
