I got a phone voicemail saying that Lincoln and Associates was trying to get a hold of me with case number 719-322. I called them back at 888-342-9707 spoke to a gentleman who said that it was a credit card company that had closed and I had owed a balance on. I keep track of my credit report all of my delinquent credit cards have been paid in full I do not owe them any money they did have my full birthday and my social security number. I was called by the possible scammer from phone number (302)-209-3213 looking for my wife using her maiden name. They said that they needed to make sure that she was available to be served paperwork. I told them she was not available and they gave me a phone number of 888-342-9707 and a document number for her to reference. I called the number myself and a recording picked up calling itself Lincoln and Associates and then it connected me to a person that asked for a case number, which I referred to the document number. The person then said they were looking for my wife using her maiden name and also her married name. I told them I was her husband and that they could direct any questions or info to me but they refused to speak to me further and then proceeded to get belligerent on the phone. I told them that my wife would not be calling them and to not call my number again, at which point the guy on the phone hung up on me.
