Received mail from "Home Warranty Division" with no return address, but shows a "Program Director" named "Vicky Mercer" with a phone number of 1-888-413-5452. The letter states that it is important that I contact their office at "1-888-413-5452" to "avoid any necessary delays" in my coverage before 5/1/2026. The letter threatens that failure to call them could result my being liable for all costs associated with any home repairs and that they reserve the right to revoke my eligibility for service coverage after the "Expiration Date of 5/1/2026" [BBB Scam Type: Phishing] [Business: Home Warranty Division] [Location: MN, USA - 56082]

The scammer sent an unmarked enveloped with a Presorted US Postage Paid stamp printed on the envelope (and "2026" was the only other marking on the envelope). The addressee was my 91-year-old mother who lives in my house. The single-page letter is titled "Final Notice" but there's no business identification on the envelope or letter. Instead, in the upper left corner it merely says "Home Warranty Division" but doesn't indicate the company that owns this "Division." The letter also includes a fake "Customer ID' number, "Effective Date" (from one year ago) and an "Expiration Date" that's a few weeks from now. The "Agent" claims a name of "Vicky Mercer" who supposedly has the toll-free phone number "888 413 5452." It doesn't show an amount that's due (despite the letter supposedly being a "Final Notice"). My elderly mother would never purchase a "Home Warranty" without asking me about it first, so the account number is definitely fraudulent. I don't know whether this scammer exclusively preys on elderly victims or not. [BBB Scam Type: Phishing] [Business: Home Warranty Division] [Location: OR, USA - 97403]

Letter sent in mail from "Home Warranty Division" from Vicky Mercer from 1-888-413-5452. Letter says final notice and suggests you have to call to avoid canceling of home coverage. When I called to get address removed from mailing list, the person used predatory practices: "Are you refusing property coverage on your home?" "Are you saying no on this recorded phone line?" "I can't remove your address because there is no mailing list; this is to extend the property coverage you had when you bought this house" (this suggests they are with my home insurance company, which they aren't). Just received post card entitled "Home Records Division". Little boxes under the title are as follows: Type of Location: Dwelling; Component Element Carrier: Mechanical Systems; Coverage Area: Inside/Outside; Expiration Date: 11-28-25; Notice Date: 11-7-2025; Home Inspection: Waived; Usage Limit: Continual. After the boxes, it states: REGISTRATION ID: ********** PIN: **** Warranty Replacement Notice CALL 1-888-413-5452 for uninterrupted protection. In the fine print, it gives hours of operation, then a subtitle: REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED FOR CONTINUED PROTECTION Dear ***** *********, This is your Warranty Replacement notice advising you to contact our offices so you do not have a lapse in coverage for all available covered components. With active services, all repairs and replacements will be covered that reflect your updated paperwork. Call 1-888-413-5452 now before it's too late and your expiration date expires leaving your home at risk of expensive repairs and/or product replacement. The reverse side of the card is very similar. THERE IS NO COMPANY NAME ANYWHERE. IT DOES NOT STATE ANYWHERE WHAT IS SUPPOSEDLY COVERED. IT IMPLIES THAT I NEED TO RENEW EXISTING COVERAGE OF SOMETHING, BUT THE SOMETHING IS VERY VAGUE. I DO NOT HAVE ANY FORM OF HOMEOWNER INSURANCE EXCEPT THROUGH A HOMEOWNER ASSOCIATION. [BBB Scam Type: Phishing] [Business: Home Records Division] [Location: MN, USA - 55122]

Letter in mail... Done as Final Notice Mentions Home Warranty Division with a customer ID and expiration date, and the need to contact them to get it up to date or risk lapse in coverage which could result in being liable for costs for home repairs. No company name, just contact name and number of Vicky Mercer, Program Manager at 1-888-413-5452 [BBB Scam Type: Phishing] [Business: Home Warranty Division only Date Rep] [Location: MD, USA - 21206]

Card was received thru USPS. It was a first class mail- presorted card and the upper right corner says Dallas TX permit 2650. The card says "This is your Warranty Replacement notice advising you to contact our offices so you do not have a lapse in coverage for all available components."..."Call 1-888-413-5452 now before it is too late..." This is obviously a scam targeting an elderly person. The person being targeted was over 85 years old when s/he passed away 2 years ago and never had any kind of a similar warranty. Postcard came with no identification of the organization. A registration ID was given, and the phone # listed above. Expiration date was 11/28/2025. "This is your Warranty Replacement notice advising you to contact our offices so you do not have a lapse in coverage for all available covered components. With active services, all repairs and replacements will be covered that reflect your updated paperwork. Call 1-888-413-5452 now before it's too late and your expiration date expires leaving your home at risk of expensive repairs and/or product replacement." The front of the postcard says :REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED FOR CONTINUED PROTECTION." The postcard was addressed to my husband, who is a veteran. When I called, I was advised to cancel all my current warranties, which I did not do and do not intend to do. The stamp: First Clas Mail, US postage paid, Dallas, Tx, Permit no 2650 - so I guess it came out of Texas [BBB Scam Type: Phishing] [Business: Forever Homes USA / impostor / Home Warranty] [Location: WA, USA - 98944]
