When searching UNITED AIRLINE website for a customer service phone number for information regarding a refund for the difference in original purchased price of tickets to what was a lower ticket cost on April 20, 2026. United Airline "Official" website link was available but under this are multiple "BLOGSPOT" links that take you to another website not linked to Unite Airline however it appears to be United Airlines with their name, logo etc. Clicking on the link now different times you will see the phone number will randomly change to a "Spoof" phone number which in turn is linked to the fraudsters. The phone number I called 888-685-3122 was answered by a male who did not speak English very well who later identified himself as Edward. He cancelled my original flight that was fully refundable when I purchased them from United Airline and rebooked my flight for the lower cost which is supposed to be reimbursed in 7-10 business days. however he directed me to an email ( [email protected] ) he sent for a signature on behalf of AIR TICKET to review and sign which I believed to be legit to confirm the change of tickets and acknowledging that my new tickets were not now refundable. He directed me through the pages to the bottom and just click on your name and go back to the top of the page and click ? whatever it was. Afterward I realized he charged my Credit Card for the new ticket price and an additional charge $491.00 through "Air Ticket". Even has the United logo on the email he sent.
