AMARI THE LABEL – clothing company scam – https://amarithelabel.com Just a warning for anyone searching online like I did about the validity of Amari the Label. Your gut is right, it’s a scam. They had a dress listed at $50 that I’d seen elsewhere for double that. At first glance, their site looks nice and has a good return policy. It says they offer full refunds and cover the return shipping for damaged or incorrect items. I ordered the dress and after more than 2 weeks waiting for it to ship, I emailed to ask about it. They said they were busy, give them a few more days. I wait another week and email again, this time asking for the order to be cancelled + refunded. They then said they “realized the dress is out of stock” and would I be interested in this replacement (please see attached photo for this hilarity). I say no, full refund please. We went back and forth several times and the only thing they said they can do is continue with the order and either a) give a 10% refund if I keep the dress; b) have me return it, but I have to pay $30 for shipping so it’s probably just not worth it. I said several times that they hadn’t even shipped the dress yet and don’t even have what I ordered, why can’t they just cancel it entirely? No real answer other than “we can’t.” I suspect this will be the experience for most – their website looks nice but it’s all stolen pictures of products they don’t have. They assume most customers will forget about the order or not deal with the hassle of a return/replacement/etc., and they clearly don’t follow their own return policy.
