[CA] Cryto Platform Scam - Bluerock Wealth | http://bluerockw.com Warning about a company operating as “**Bluerock Wealth**” and defrauding seniors. They recently target a 78-year-old family member, resulting in a scam and theft of $650,000 of retirement savings. They posed as a professional advisor(s) in Crypto Investing with promise of passive income. They set you up on a fake trading platform and use remote desktop software to “help” you trade. 1) They use Canadian payment merchants ( Apaylo/TruStart) or Kraken to transact and convert currency into crypto. 2) They demonstrate exceptional returns on the platform and use high pressure tactics to get you to invest more. 3)They also issue fake bonus amounts demonstrating significant increases in balances through the platform. When you then try to withdraw the funds, they send you fake tokens and then claim that the wallet is corrupt and then hit you with a recovery fee/scam to retrieve your original balances. They seem to be targeting Ontario residents, and the BC securities commission has a warning against them. The are using multiple web domains to facilitate this fraudlent platform.

[CA] Crypto Scam in Canada - http://bluerockw.com I want to warn the community about a group operating as "**Bluerock Wealth**." They recently targeted a senior family member, resulting in a loss of over $695k in retirement savings (GICs and RSPs). **The Tactic:** \> They pose as professional advisors and use remote desktop software to "help" victims move money into crypto. They use Canadian payment intermediaries (Apaylo / TruStart) to convert CAD to crypto and show fake profits on a rigged dashboard. **The "Recovery" Trap:** \> When you try to withdraw, they claim the wallet is "corrupt" and demand an 8.5% "recovery fee." This is a secondary scam. **Evidence:** \> The BC Securities Commission has already issued an investor caution regarding "Blue Rock-Wealth." They are using multiple domains to evade detection. Please check on your elderly relatives. If they mention "crypto-yield" or someone asking to screen-share their computer, step in immediately.
