Community Reports

I described this scam to you and you responded saying that this was not a scam. IT DEFINITELY WAS. Here's the description again. This is absolutely not a complaint. This is a scam. Read this carefully. They are taking advantage of people with a FAKE website, purposely hiding their identity. Then they take the money that was intended for a hotel and keep it for months for their financial benefit until the customer arrives at the hotel. If the customer needs to cancel it, they KEEP all the money under these false pretenses. The unsuspecting caller knows that the legitimate hotel would not take the money months before their arrival and then steal their money if they could not use the room. SCAM! When they respond to a "complaint", they will obviously use slippery legalese to obfuscate their true illegal actions. Don't fall for their sleazy tactics like I did. Go to the website and look at it yourself. THIS SHOULD ABSOLUTELY BE CONSIDERED A SCAM AND ILLEGAL. They are REQUIRED to truthfully identify themselves as Priceline, and not the hotel. They are shysters and should not be allowed to be in business. Think about it. It's a scam. What follows is a copy of my original detailed report to you: Today I went on line to book a room at Holiday Inn Express for 5 days in June. I selected my room from the pictures and called the 855 number on the screen. The woman identified herself as representing Holiday Inn Express and took my credit card for $1,000+. I received an email confirmation as if it was from Holiday Inn Express. I checked my credit card on line and found that the ENTIRE amount had already been charged by PRICELINE. Hotels never take the money until you are on site. I checked the address of the website and found that I had been hoodwinked. The web address they used was this: https://www.guestreservations.com/holiday-inn-express-sedona-oak-cre [BBB Scam Type: Counterfeit Product] [Business: Holiday Inn Express - Impostor Date] [Location: MO,
