Southwest Advantage- sleazy cult-like tactics since 1858. How do they still exist? Mind blown. Just got solicited by these people. I am aghast, yet oddly fascinated by how perfect of a scam this is for both customers and it's "independent contractors" alike. Check it out- I pretty much had the same experience as most of the commenters describe: http://somedayallthis.wordpress.com/2010/07/05/the-southwestern-company-door-to-door-deception/ http://www.salem-news.com/articles/february232010/southwestern-company-ew.php ... and this is by no means all; even a preliminary search will reveal the extent of this. Looks like perhaps a company can creep people the fuck out and exploit employees using brainwashing for over 100 years and still not go out of business. Sad. I honestly thought people were smarter that this.
