I recieved a quote request through my website from Michael Luman who wanted a quote for 7 very large metal signs along with graphic design services for the Church he claimed to worked for. I responded back requesting the Church address, timeline for the order, informing him of payment requirements and asking about shipping. He responded with the Word of Life Hawaii address and INCORRECT phone number (which I was able to look up via google search). He also requested I contact Logistics Express to schedule freight to the island. He also sent some pricing information back that makes little sense to me. After google searching the Church to find their listed phone number, I called and talked to the receptionist who stated that no Michael Luman works for them. I was reached out to by [email protected] (Daniel Thompson (I doubt that is his real name)) for signage totaling 16,686.37 for a church in Hawaii called Saint John the Baptist Church (he nor peter works there). This was paid with a american express creditcard by [email protected] (Peter Soumwei) (Also doubt that is his real name). They wanted the products shipped using a shipping company they said they were familar with called SWIFT DELIVERY LOGISTICS and sent me the email [email protected] . Now the "shipping company" wanted me to wire them the money for shipment and from there is where I started doing research. I found a compnay called Swift Delivery & Logistics which is a reputable establisment however, they have a & symbol in their name. The one I reached out to was NOT them. This fake swift delivery logistics has a website (https://swiftdeliverylogistics.com/index.html) using real people photos with fake names (i will attach proof of that) and saying their address is the same as Swift Delivery & Logistics. I have called both the church and the real Swift Delivery and both told me this is not the first time this has happened and that this has been ongoing for years. They have reported the incidents but I got lucky by not gettting scammed. I would like to help get them shut down as if this has been going on for years who knows how many bussiness and people have been affected.
