I chalked it up to foreign transaction fees... in the email there was a link to a Chinese-only shipping company. Well, two weeks later, despite the fact that the "shipping information" online showed that the item had arrived, I was home that day, and no delivery was made. I emailed the only email I had... silence. I attempted to contact the shipper (no email given, phone number only) and received a "this number has been disconnected" message. The following day, multiple fraudulent transactions hit my credit card totaling approximately $360 on top of the money I'd already lost.
