Thanks for being here Hi guys, so my sextortion just happened two days ago and I was a dumbo who paid ~230 CAD under the pressure. I found this group after, which gave me the courage to block the scammer and make all of my socials private. I just wanted to thank everyone in the group for being here and making this a much less lonely and scary experience. The anxiety is still there (just woke up from a nightmare, which I never used to get), but I’m confident it will fade over time. I’m also anticipating that they’ll try to contact me again, but I’m ready to block them instantly. I’ve made peace with even the worst possible situation: - there’s a 90% chance they don’t send - even if they do send, it’s unlikely that they will send to ALL contacts as this is useless effort on their part - of the people that receive it, only a small number will open their spam (just think, would you open a spam message if it were one of your family members/friends/random FB acquaintance?) - the people that accept the message request and open it clearly want to see, so maybe you’re making their day 😉 Again I want to thank everyone here for making such an informative and supportive community. In the two days I’ve been here the group has already grown by 15 members, so this is a problem that it seems won’t go away anytime soon. All we can do is live our lives, embrace our mistakes and learn from every experience.
Resources for how to handle care for MIL with dementia? A little background, due to my wife and my careers, my Wife's Mother (\~70 years old) lives in a different state than us with her sister (my wife's Aunt, also \~70 years old). When we visited her in January we noticed she seemed a little bit off but generally knew what was going on around her and for the most part, was able to hold a conversation. Due to the pandemic, both of them being in a high risk age group, and travelling across state lines, we hadn't visited her in multiple months but spoke over the phone at least once a week. About a month ago now we received a surprise call from Social Services/Elder Services saying that my wife's Aunt was in the hospital due to malnourishment and that my MIL's dementia has rapidly developed to state where she isn't able to care for herself. We've since made two trips to visit her and try to start sorting things out. She currently has a caretaker 24/7 and has been enrolled in Meals on Wheels, but no one is willing to talk to us or give us any advice on what's happening or how to proceed. The Social worker in charge of her case is saying that the state is going to try to get conservatorship over my MIL and that we'll need to petition the judge to give it to us but has refused to give us the court date or a timeline and has said that she doesn't believe a judge will award us the conservatorship because we live across state lines. We're both only children, have zero experience in dealing with these thing, and no one seems willing to help us figure out what we need to do. Bringing her to live with us isn't feasible as we live in a 1 bedroom apartment, we're both at work the whole day, and can't afford a bigger place. Is there anyone we can talk to about our options or informative resources we can turn to?
Exercise and Aging [https://www.health.harvard.edu/staying-healthy/exercise-and-aging-can-you-walk-away-from-father-time](https://www.health.harvard.edu/staying-healthy/exercise-and-aging-can-you-walk-away-from-father-time) I found this interesting, informative and sobering. You do have to be smart and may want to talk to your doctor first but exercise, whatever you can do, do it.

Informative Site on How to start trading Bitcoin... It helped me get set up today.... waiting for Bitcoin now
Looking to get into the cryptocurrency thing but I don't really know a whole lot about it all. Can I get any info? First off, I'm not sure if this is quite the right place for what I am asking. Anyway, I have recently started mining litecoins and I am finding the whole cryptocurrency thing to be really interesting and I wanted to learn some more about it. For example the process that goes into the mining in a little more detail, the difference between the different types. I know there are Bitcoins, litecoins, peercoins and a bunch of others but I don't know what the difference really is other than that they are different. I have heard that litecoins are a little more secure but peercoins are a little more stable? I don't know the truth in that, that is just what I have heard and I wanted some more reliable and informative sources. Can any of you guys help me out with this?
