this is a website that pretends to a government site- including showing the British flag- to process the ETA or electronic travel authority to the UK. It is only on the very bottom fine print that says that this is a travel agency. They are not affiliated with the government. They took my money without processing the Visa. This is not the official gov.uk website. [BBB Scam Type: Government Agency Imposter] [Business: UK Visa Portal] [Location: Redondo Beach, CA, USA - 90277]
Fraudster used my details to open an investment account, and today their email appeared on my brand new Gov.UK One Login 3 months ago I received a letter from AJ Bell asking for further identity verification to open an account when I didn't apply for one. I contacted their fraud team, and they confirmed someone had used my full name, address, DOB, NI and a specific email address to try to open it. Today, i went to renew my driving license; I was prompted to setup a brand new [Gov.UK](http://gov.uk/) One login account. I use my personal email address to sign up, passed the identify verification and completed the renewal. However, when i got to the final "Manage your account" page, I was shocked to see that the primary email address on this brand new account was set to the fraudster's email address. I immediately checked the security activity log on [Gov.UK](http://gov.uk/) one—it shows that I am the only one who has ever logged into this account. The most alarming part is that even though I can change the email address to my own, every time I refresh, log out, or log back into the page, the email completely reverts back to the fraudster's address. I am wondering if anyone has come across this? Would really appreciate any advice on what I should do in this case. I have sent a message to [Gov.UK](http://gov.uk/) but haven't got a reply yet.
Crypto Recovery Scam Hi there Anyone dealt with a company called [block-watcher.com](https://block-watcher.com) based in the UK. They claim to be a blockchain platform, liquidity provider to recover your funds from a crypto scam that I was previously involved in. They are registered company under the name Clearing House Limited in the [Gov.uk](https://Gov.uk) with also a physical address and a company number 13775120. I've done some research on them, but it seems that they don't have much info when I do a google review on them. I don't see anything if there were people in the same situation. They knew my email and phone contact information, I was surprised of how they knew this. I was able to converse with them what the process in trying to recover my funds that I invested from a scam but it seems too good to be true. In order for them to release my funds in the blockchain and that I need to first do a pre-authorized payment of a sum based on the percentage of the refund coming back to my account. They showed me a source code on the blockchain of what the flow transfer would look like. I'm not sure if this is legit or another scam. Thoughts!
Advice on how I may SE myself into a situation that will allow for huge personal growth Up until recently, I was in the process of moving to the United Kingdom to work for the inventor of machines known as RepRap (http://reprap.org/wiki/RepRap). The company had gone through the process of obtaining a license to sponsor migrant workers and applied for a Sponsorship Certificate to apply for a work visa. Then things fell out from under me last week when the application for the Sponsorship Certificate was denied due to the position not being on a gov approved list (http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitecontent/documents/workingintheuk/shortageoccupationlistnov11.pdf). This is where I am seeing if any of you could help me out. I'm not really sure where to start, but pretty much what I am trying to do is get in contact with https://www.gov.uk/government/people/michael-gove using the recent announcement of this program by the department for education https://www.gov.uk/government/news/new-3d-printers-to-boost-stem-and-design-teaching to see if I can personally get something onto the UKBA occupation shortage list or at least my foot in the door.Basically what I have backing me right now is my resume and a few recommendations from industry professionals. The perfect alternate scenario would be to open an office in London for the former employer(initially offered before I let him know I had something lined up at the UK company, but has since taken the offer back since I was "too flaky" by using valid vacation days for a surprise trip that coincided with a demo, but had already been paid in full for by family friends. Said I look flaky to him since I goofed around on my vacation days and was asking only now because things fell through. Any tips for that situation would be greatly appreciated as well). This would allow me to stay with this fast growing company that I'm working for, collaborate/learn/educate with the UK company, present and instruct in the use of 3D printers,
