I just canceled an auto policy with Direct Auto Insursnce. I have been waiting on a refund check, but recieved this letter first?! I called and said they had affliations with direct but wasnt direct, that he was in the vehicle service division and was trying to set me up on different policies on my car until i caught on. He wouldnt give me a company name. No company name, address, nor email was stated in the letter as well. They listed a number to call, they said asap making it seem urgent saying immediate responce requested by a certain date march 6th, then listed hours of operations ( mon-fri 7 am -7 pm cst) & (sat 10 am-4 pm cst) &also gave a number to reach them if you need to speak spanish. That number was listed as: 1-888-454-0932) I canceled the day after getting insurance with direct all my personal info shouldve not been sent to any third party period; i wasn't one of their customers, and then get this scam; go figure! He knows all the info Direct has, this is beyond nuts! Thats so illegal it aint even funny and isnt fair to me ay all what so ever. I jusy about fell for it, glad my intution told me no, cause as soon as i called Direct they had no idea what i was speaking of and gave them a picture of the letter to do an investigation as well.
