They sent a strong letter and when I called the number shown they were very demanding stating they were going to show up at her (my aunt's) door and demand $10,000.00. If the $254.00 was not paid right now. This is my 90 year old Aunt, they are sending these letters too. They have also been calling her a lot demanding money. The letter referred to property code HS0408-38473. Secured by Cherry Creek Mortgage. (This is not her Mortgage company) The letter states to call Andy Perkins, Program Director at 888-508-7913. When we called this number we talked to a Roxanne, but she would not give last name. At the bottom of the letter it states Home Shield USA. I received a letter with no markings on the envelope, no information in the letter as far as return address nor anyway to contact other than a phone number to activate my home warranty. Said this was my "FINAL NOTICE" It gave me what they called was my Customer ID. They also stated, "Our records indicate that you have not contacted us yet to get your Home Warranty up to date." They said that it was secured by: a lending company (not providing name). Which I never had a Home Warranty with, nor do I believe they offer one. Received the letter in the mail about it’s important to contact the office at the phone number 888-508-7913. This is in reference to home warranty update on a home. I am renting not owning renting. It says customer ID DC1106.-22509, it says contact Andy Perkins program Director 1-888-508-7913. when I contacted this phone number a guy answer as I tell him I wanna know why they keep sending me this bull crap mail and what not he made it belligerent so I threatened him. Let him know. I used to work for the federal government so I know how to contact information and individuals different agencies to report this fraud. He then started talking crap. I wouldn’t do anything and started being below drunk cussing and saying I wouldn’t do anything blah blah blah. I received "Final Notice" letter stating "It is important to contact our office at 888-508-7913 upon receiving this notice to avoid any unnecessary delays in your coverage before November 28,2025. This notice is to inform you that the property's home warranty, at (my address), may be expiring or may have already expired." The letter goes on with threatening, fear-mongering language about lapses in coverage and liability and revoking eligibility and has an expiration date. It shows a customer ID/property code number HSxxxx-xxxxx. The letter is signed "Andy Perkins, Program Director" and the very bottom of the page, in tiny print: "Not all consumers have previous coverage. Home Shield USA is not affiliated with your current mortgage holder. Florida License G202409" I have received this same letter addressed to 3 different names that I've had, names that I haven't used in 10-20 years, and it includes the name of my mortgage lender, so it's obvious that they are phishing and are somehow pulling information from credit reports. I think this letter is targeting elders, looking for the gullible and building a sucker list. I an 82 and a friend in my building who is the same age got an identical letter.
