I received a notice from an unknown company that said I needed to phone this number 1-877-913-1764 before Feb. 21 "in order to avoid unnecessary delays in my coverage." There is no company name, but the name of my bank that has secured my mortgage was listed. The letter ends with saying it is from Andy Perkins, Program Director at 1-877-913-1764. I believe this is a scam and needs to be reported in order to protect others. [BBB Scam Type: Phishing] [Business: None] [Location: WI, USA- 53081]

My mother received a letter urging her to enroll in some sort of scam warranty program for her home, and that her "coverage may lapse." It's a scam. Shame on these people. I called the number (877) 913-1764, and the guy hung up on me. [BBB Scam Type: Phishing] [Business: Home Warranty] [Location: MT, USA- 59601]

Notifying home owner that his home's policy at XXXXXX may be expiring or may have already expired. Warning that 2 active service advisories are in the area (sec. code 33.1 & 35.2c) and that he has not contacted them to get the home warranty policy up to date. Given phone number to call. No address given. Given 5 days to activate. Told the home's warranty will lapse and to respond immediately. Signed Andy Perkins, Program Director 1-877-913-1764 (Home owner is not associated with such a company. This was an obvious scam.)
