New IRS scam: 1-352-653-1292 I don't know if the number is still operational, since both my numbers eventually got blocked. The first three times I claimed that I was 'Joshua' from the US Treasury Department investigating IRS scams, and asked for their full names (Indian names, not Westernized fake names), their employee id numbers and the full names and numbers of their immediate supervisors. They hung up. Tried that three times before my number was blocked. I then called from a spoofed number, asking them to please not call the cops, and how I could settle my 'debt' as quickly as possible. The gave me the usual spiel - $1,500 in iTunes gift cards within an hour. I said I would get the money ASAP, but 'Eric' insisted on staying on the line with me. So we went grocery shopping together for an hour, after which I sat in my car and pretended to have a conversation with a cashier, asking her for three iTunes gift cards for $500 each. (I don't even know if they go that high, but apparently neither did 'Eric'). I also happened to have a used gift card in my car that I use for a bookmark. I gave Eric the number, and then followed that up with two completely random numbers using the expired card to get the format correct. Then I hung up and deleted the spoofed number. Never did find out what 'Eric' did after discovering all three numbers were useless, but I imagine he can't have been happy. Anyway - if the number is still operational, I suggest you guys have some fun.
