I recently closed on a refinance and then received a postcard and letter saying Rocket mortgage has been trying to reach me. I googled the phone number 833-408-1587 that was in the letter and it came up as a scam. I did not try calling the number. Received postcards/letters in the mail stating "PLEASE CALL UPON RECE3IPT OF THIS NOTICE" Inside states " We have been trying to reach you regarding a matter of importance as it relates to your mortgage. Please Call 1-833-408-1587 (one had the #1-833-408-1612) I received 3 notices in total. I called and listened to the prompts, entered the MTG ID*: 504-556-681 which is the same on all 3 notices. The auto response did have my husband name. I was google searching the number in the mean time and hung up immediately when I saw the reports that it is a SCAM. We recently got an equity line on our house. They obtained our information from that recorded document.
