First - I tried uploading the entire email thread between me and the scammer, but the BBB website wouldn't work. It kept saying "Error uploading file. Please try again." It was just a simple Word file. I am reporting an employment scam involving a recruiter using the name “Alexandra Morgan” and claiming to represent a company called Careers Flow Recruit. The recruiter contacted me about a Chief Transformation Officer role and used the email address [email protected] and phone number +1 (415) 376-8064. The recruiter sent a job description and repeatedly asked for my résumé. After I submitted it, she claimed that the company’s system could not process my résumé because it was “not ATS-compliant.” She then directed me to use a specific résumé-formatting service (“Resume ATS”) that required payment before she could “resubmit” my application to the client. This is the same pattern used in known employment scams: • Impersonation of a recruiter • A fabricated job opportunity • A claim that the résumé is not ATS-compliant • Pressure to use a specific paid service • No verifiable client information • A vague or suspicious website (careersflowrecruit.net) I did not pay any money. Incoming email about a 'Chief Finance Operations Officer' role, after responding and providing my resume, 'Alexandra' replied back with the following message pushing the ATS-compliant resume scam: Hi *********, I hope you’re doing well. I wanted to personally follow up regarding your application .Chief Finance Operations Officer. Given how strongly your experience aligns with this mandate, I’ve already escalated your profile to the senior review board for preliminary visibility. The feedback has been positive, and they are open to moving toward the interview phase. At this stage, the only outstanding item is the ATS-compliant resume format required by the client’s submission system. As soon as I receive the finalized version, I will resubmit immediately and formally initiate the interview scheduling process.
