I think we were scammed. Checking account num. given out. Please help! My dad got a call from "Midwest preparation services" telling him that they can perform a loan modification service. My dad just gave out our checking account number without thinking. They told us that we need to be charged 700$ before they can determine anything... wtf, and he just gave out the account number like a fucking idiot. midwestpreparation.com is supposedly their website. They told us they don't have a website yet. This is their phone number 1-877-592-9892. This sounds like a definite scam. I convinced my mom to transfer our money from our checking to savings account. Can they still get any money if they only have our checking account number, and address, and names, phone social number, fuck! Has anyone heard of MIDWEST PREPARATION SERVICES?? EDIT: clarification, their website isn't done yet, not they don't have one.
