On February 6, 2026, I contacted an Instagram account operating under the name “Chevy GMC Partshub” regarding the purchase of a steering wheel and airbag cover. The seller claimed the item would ship from Nebraska. I agreed to purchase the parts for $330 and submitted payment. After payment, I was directed to a website identifying itself as “Falcons Courier LTD” (falconscourierltd.com), which claimed to be handling the shipment. The shipment page displayed the following information: Origin: Nebraska Destination: Illinois Shipment Mode: Air Freight Product: Steering wheel Quantity: 1 Total Freight: $30 Status: On Hold Comment: “REFUNDABLE INSURANCE REQUIRED” The package dimensions listed were: Length: 1 cm Width: 1 cm Height: 1 cm Weight: 1 kg Volumetric weight: 0.00020 kg A steering wheel cannot physically fit inside a 1 cm carton. These measurements appear fabricated. Although the shipment was domestic (Nebraska to Illinois), I received emails stating the package had “cleared customs” and required international insurance processing. I then received multiple emails demanding a $290 “insurance license fee,” claiming Illinois law requires packages to be insured before entering the state and stating that 90% of the insurance payment would be refunded upon delivery. I also received both a text message and a phone call from 970-367-8572 identifying themselves as “FALCONS COURIER LTD.” The text message stated: “Hello, this is FALCONS COURIER LTD, we reaching out to you regarding your shipment. Please get back to us as soon as you can. Thanks Jane.” The message contained informal grammar, no official reference number, and no legitimate corporate contact information. Additional inconsistencies included: Template placeholders such as “Dear {shipper_name}” Generic filler text such as “Your Phone Number Here” References to “Travel Insurance Solicitors Service” Claims the package would travel “across [BBB Scam Type: Online Purchase] [Business: Chevy GMC parts Hub] [Location: IL
