Toyota Dealer Fraud Targets Immigrants This is the second time Michael's Toyota of Bellevue, Washington State... has been dishonest. First time was standard bait and switch stuff when the sticker price on the car window in the lot went up a grand between the lot and sitting down at the desk to sign the paperwork. I was told it was Toyota Certified only to find out it was "as-is" once the letter of intent was signed. So the total cost of car with repairs was $5K more than it should have been if they had honored their first price and not lied about certification status. This time they engaged in outright fraud when they told an Eastern European immigrant that despite the fact he had not signed any paperwork and wanted out of a deal on a car he had not had a chance to test drive nor have looked at by a third party mechanic... the salesman, Victor told him and his son it was too late, the customer had to buy to car. No letter of intent had been signed. No contract had been signed. It was consumer fraud. Meanwhile the car was back in Michael's shop four times in a month of ownership. Things that were promised to be done prior to taking possession required two service calls to finally get done. The wheels still make a clicking sound with every rotation and the noise has not stopped even with a new set of hubcaps. Michael's Used Car Manager's suggestion on how to deal with that? Remove the hubcaps. I doubt that is the kind of service most people who buy Toyota Certified used vehicles are expecting. The most recent service call on 10/9/15 had the owner bring the car in at 8 am. No loaner car was available. Repeated complaints about the noise coming from the wheels was met with passing the buck from the Used Car Manager to a Service Manager, one of many as Michael's is the largest Toyota dealer in Washington State. Nothing has been addressed. I have been trying to get Michael's to allow the limited-English speaking man who they fraudulently told he had to buy a car befo
