This is very similar to Scam ID *******. I googled the phone number for Iberia Airlines where we have a reservation. The number found that we dialed is 844-833-0138. It looked legit, with a Iberia Airlines logo. We already had a flight reservation but wanted to check the status. The person impersonating Iberia Airlines said we had to pay $266.02 to clear up an issue with the ticket (bags in hold) and then in 7 to 14 business days the charge would be reversed. He even emailed us with these details after calling us from 818-473-0237. Our credit card statement showed the charge under *********. A week later after having paid over the phone, I checked our flight status again there was no change to our flight status (bags in hold status showing). I called the real Iberia Airlines after realizing the first number was false and they told me all was fine with our flight. They said that bags in hold is a normal status for a flight with Iberia. I immediately cancelled my credit card and reported the issue with my card company's fraud department.
